I can't believe we managed to drink our bubble tea after Japanese Buffet but we did. My girlfriend loves bubble tea and so does my daughter so we headed to Go for Tea. It's our absolute favourite bubble tea cafe. Bubble tea originated from Taiwan and are gelatinous tapioca balls that are added to your drink whether hot or cold. Hot...you eat them with a spoon and cold...you slurp them with a straw.
The bubbles are a bit chewy and sweet. It's important to choose a popular bubble tea cafe because I've had soggy and tasteless bubbles before and it totally ruins the entire experience. Bubble tea can be quite pricey. One large glass of bubble tea can be almost as expensive as a fast food meal. However it's a fun afternoon treat instead of heading to the usual coffee shop.
We ordered our usual Honeydew slush with bubbles. There's an extensive drink menu but we tend to stick to our favourite.
