Running errands today and decided to have breakfast at Ikea. It's so cheap! For $1 plus tax you can have a pretty filling breakfast. It includes scrabbled eggs, hash browns and sausages. All for a dollar!!! In these recessionary times you can't go wrong!
AND...
we stopped off at McDonald's and got a free coffee which we drank before getting to Ikea. McD's is having a coffee war with Starbucks and other expensive coffee places in Toronto so they are offering a free small coffee anytime before 10:30am. I think it may be ending this week.

That's what I call a bargain.
ReplyDeletevery cheap!
ReplyDeleteSuprisingly the McDonalds coffee isn't horrible. It isn't as good as a freshly made by a barista latte, but decent at least! I love eating ikeas food too! Their kids menu is awesome.
ReplyDeleteMcDonalds coffee actually came out on top when they put all the big chains to the test (Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Caribou, etc)
ReplyDeleteImpressive bargains!
I'm actually going to say that I prefer McD's coffee over Tim Horton's now...and Canadian's love their Timmy's coffee...
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't go as far as saying McD tops Timmy Ho, but in the States it's definitely one of the better options.
ReplyDeleteI love a good deal, and a good deal involving food is even better! Good work :)
ReplyDeleteLove ikea food!!! especially the meatballs. lol.
ReplyDeletei am guessing the Ikea breakfast in canada is better than the Ikea breakfast here! we get bacon (not sausage) and the eggs are subpar. i need to come to your store! :)
ReplyDeleteCraziness! A dollar for all that? Wow!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great bargain, wish we had IKEA by us, the nearest one is 65 miles away LOL great find though!
ReplyDeleteYour breakfast looks really tasty - and what a great price. I'll be heading to Ikea soon, guess I'll have breakfast too.
ReplyDeleteI love IKEA's breakfast the it's a 45 minut drive for us so we only have it a couple of times a year. Still, isn't it the best bargain?
ReplyDeleteWhow! Now, that is really a bargain--can't go wrong with that. Glad you guys had a good time, and that's what really mattered.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!

PS: Everytime I see your picture icon: it makes me smile. Reminds me of Lucy on the Peanuts with Charlie Brown :)
ahhhh, to live in suburbia again... sigh.
ReplyDeleteWow ! Really low cost for a fulfilling breakfast.
ReplyDeleteI thought I was a good bargoon hunter! You're the best!
ReplyDeleteHaha, whenever I used to go with my family to Ikea, my dad goes up to get the breakfast and my mom and I shop! Can't go wrong with 1$ and a free coffee though!
ReplyDeleteNever had breakfast at Ikea but our friends tell me it's great, a dollar for as much as you can eat apparently. I've had their meat balls and lingonberry jam and they were awesome. I should take a little trek when I go to Vancouver next time just to check it out (check out the kitchen gadgets that's more like it).
ReplyDeleteNice! I love Ikea and wish we had one closer to us. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's very cheap!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great bargain! I do love their meatballs. I was sad when they discontinued the side of red potatoes and started with the mashed.
ReplyDeletethat's amazing...cheaper than anywhere else
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to check that out, a one buck breakfast is great!
ReplyDeleteWe have a little place up the road who is now selling a breakfast for R10(about $1) but it does not look anything like this one....Yum, I'm hungry now!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the Ikea cafeteria! The food is cheap--it's the $283 worth of stuff you have to haul back home that makes it expensive! Watch for the free breakfast coupons when they have their big sales!!
ReplyDeleteIkea food is amazing and cheap! I posted about it too.
