Yogurt Mess!

I've recently started a program my sister and I call the "Ten Pound Challenge". We are trying to lose five to ten pounds before the end of June. I know it's a lot of weight to lose in a month but we are going to try. I really don't care if it's "water weight" or real weight...I will be ecstatic if I can actually do it.

I was telling my cousin about this delicious concoction that I discovered and she says that in the food blogging world it's called a "yogurt mess". Messy or not it's DELICIOUS!!

Here is the recipe to my new breakfast....afternoon snack...late night snack...and even dessert...

  • One cup of Activia Yogurt
  • Two tablespoons Mandarin Magic (mandarin oranges and peaches) by Del Monte
  • Handful of Organic Daybreak Organic Cereal by Nutritious Living (bought from Costco) A crunchy blend of honey-coated puffed whole grains, crispy rice, rolled oats and fibre sticks
This is a perfect snack to satisfy my sweet tooth!

  9. I eat yogurt messes all the time (lots on my blog). HIGHLY recommend switching activia for greek yogurt (Fage, Chobani, Oikos all come in fat free)- the protein is more than double which makes it much more filling (and much creamier!)

  17. I love to make a "cereal mess"! Same concept, yogurt on the bottom, cereal, granola, flax, fruit, nuts, almond butter, whatever all piled on top! Love it for breakfast or a snack! :)

Good luck with your weight loss!

  18. Except for the Mandarin oranges, this is like my daily morning breakfast - yogurt and crunch, lightly sweet cereal. Isn't it great? Good luck with your goal!

  19. Mmm that does sound good! Making it a challenge with someone else is great motivation! I attempted to perform "Operation Lose 6 Pounds" a few weeks ago....it has not been going well. Making it a challenge with a friend would be a great way to help me out!
